Grandpa takes Dog To Furniture Store For Chair Too

Believe it or not, when Aleecia Dahl's grandfather didn't want a dog at all, there was once a time — but now he's epitomizing pretty much what it means to be a proud pet parent.

The moment he met Coco, it all started.

"Coco is the Grandpa's dog that has never been wanted but can't live without," Dahl told The Dodo. "They're the best friends he'd never known he wanted." Aleecia Dahl, It's safe to say Coco and Grandpa are inseparable. The cozy couple can often be seen lounging together in their favorite chair when not out and about town on some adventure.

Most, however, That tried-and-true seating spot was put into retirement — sparking a search for a substitute that came with a very important caveat.

"They[ needed to buy] new furniture when grandma and grandpa moved," Dahl said. "The requirement of Grandpa was that the footrest on his lounge chair was large enough for him and Coco to sit side by side." Therefore, Grandpa took Coco to the furniture store in adorable fashion to ensure that what he purchased suited her too.

"To test out chairs, he took Coco to several shops before he found the perfect one," Dahl said. "Coco has always been greeted with a smile, as I'm sure it's not every day a man and his dog go shopping for furniture!" Coco, no doubt, appreciated the opportunity to weigh in on that big decision. Thankfully, they finally found an ideal fit for both of them— a cozy chair suitable for two sweet friends. The grandpa of Dahl would have it no other way.

"She's his best little friend," said Dahl.
